I have some nifty tricks up my sleeve for those of you living in the Greater Toronto area. If you’re working on a project that involves blueprints, drive-through breakfasts, or plaster dust on your toothbrush, let’s talk.
Architectural Services
I play nice with architects and love working with talented crews. Yours or mine.
- Project assessment and consultation
- Concept development
- Collaboration with architects, developers and related professionals
- Blueprint critiquing
- Space and furniture planning – preferably before the plans are finalized (it’s a lot easier to erase pencil marks than it is to rip out 2 x 4’s while your electrician or plumber sits and watches the clock)
- Lighting planning – again, preferably before the plans are finalized
- Consultation throughout construction
Decorative Services
The fun bits!
- Custom furniture design and production
- Re-upholstery and refinishing
- Window treatment design and fabrication
- Custom framing and art procurement and restoration
After we’ve briefly touched on your project via email, I begin by scheduling an Initial Consultation. Plan to set aside anywhere from an hour to three hours discussing all aspects of your project(s). I encourage you to take copious notes as I offer recommendations and sources, design tips and inspiration and a time-phased, prioritized guideline. If you’re confident moving forward on your own, I’ll have given you all the goodies you require to hit the ground running.
Initial Consultations are $350 + HST.
If you need a professional on board with experience managing large projects or the thought of coordinating all those dizzying details induces a mild panic attack, I’m here to help. I’ll send you a detailed Letter of Information & Proposal highlighting my time estimation for the project billed at my hourly rate of $125 + HST. I provide customized proposals for all phases of the project and provide detailed time schedules at regular intervals. The goal, of course, is to offset the fee you invest by keeping you from experiencing costly mistakes and classic “oops” moments. Nobody likes those, particularly when you’ve just ripped out your plumbing, your kitchen looks like a camp site, and you can’t remember the last time you didn’t pull your undies out of a suitcase.
